Second stop: Milan Duomo Square

700 portraits taken in eight days to build a visual map of Milan’s population.
From 14 to 21 December, 2018, #BenettonRace made a stop in Lombardy’s metropolis, transforming the windows of the United Colors Benetton store in Duomo Square into a large photographic set that was open to everyone.
Every afternoon, Oliviero Toscani, Settimio Benedusi and a team of Fabrica photographers invited passers-by to come in and get their portraits done. The photos were then projected on a led wall that was placed inside a second window.
The project, which had already achieved success last November in Paris during Paris Photo, represents the values on which United Colors of Benetton has built its identity: open-mindedness and acceptance of diversity and different cultures.
At the same time, Wanted Creativity also took place inside the store: dozens of portfolios and creative projects as well as budding photographers were presented to Toscani and the Fabrica team.
